OLD STOLL FIELD CREW NECK
OLD STOLL FIELD CREW NECK
While the SEC was not formed until 1932, the first football game in the Southeast region of the US was played April 9, 1880, on the ground now called Old Stoll Field at the University of Kentucky. Kentucky A&M (now UK) organized a team and in November of the following year began playing local rival, Transylvania College, in a three-game series. By 1895, 11 current SEC members were playing football. We raise one to Old Stoll Field’s roots. (Source: South Eastern Conf.)
